Session 3 - Matuas

Weeks of education, it’s very nice. Learning a lot. My study track for the cascade bearers is going well. We helped Haibram with getting really high with his kite. And we also helped Okoro with his new game, a really complex game…

Zuma asked us to ‘volunteer’ for an experiment. We don’t get told. We get tattooed, this doesn’t feel good at all, but the teacher is the boss, so I have to do what I’m told. We try to help, but it doesn’t help…

Teacher Koride wants our help in looking for ecological damage which is agitating the bugs. There seem to be centipedes all over the place in our dorm.

Leshy Gardens: The leshies are building some mysterious for Mafika (they say). The beetles are gnawing summoning runes into the wood.

Dining Hall Kitchens: There are complaints about mites in the kitchen. They might have come from outside, or from the kitchen normally. As we enter, someone's been hiding in the big kettle. A swarm of scrumptious centipedes has already devoured the mites. We examined them; they'd already started swarming outside the kitchen. We found some traces of magic around the swarm. Something to note for later. It's subtle, refined, and therefore powerful. It might be tied to all the things we've seen so far.

Speaker's Stage: we put on a bit of a show for mayor Asanda and onlookers while catching dragonflies. Unfortunately, by pushing Meera into the water, but it also brought good things, so I think it's ok. Of course that does mean the trinkets we got should go to her then.

There was also a tournament for us initiates. This was what the leshies were working on for Mafika. We're supposed to fight three rounds. I was winning, but Faran was dying, so I had to tap out, because it’s not nice to win when your friend is bleeding out… Too bad though.
