Session 4 - Matuas

We're trying to build a racing boat with Haibram and Esi, we're doing well. When Teacher Ot asks us to look for some lost books.

The books:

• Studies on the habits and migration patterns of birds and drakes of the continent of Garund (leather-bound)
• An expanded history of the lesser known peoples of the Mwangi Expanse (vellum, bound with leather cords)
• The Worlds between World, exploring the Planes and Demiplanes volume IV (a particularly big leatherbound book)
• Treatise on the various communicative methods of non-vocally projecting entities (recorded on a scroll that whispers eerily when unrolled)
• Collected field notes of the druid Mata Didjimari (a small chest with crammed surfaces covered in writing)

After fighting some ink-gremlins and silverfishes we search everything. We found the Worlds IV in a room full of notes, as well as the chest of notes. In another room we find a description of an undead ritual. In a room crammed full of stored beds we find all the books of Worlds between Worlds.

In another room (with some spellskeins) we find the first two books as well as a map of the city of Bloodsalt (Teacher Ot had asked to bring back anything else that looked particularly interesting). We also picked up some bracers or missile deflection.

Ot says these gremlins are a persistent problem. They're hard to find and there's a lot of them. I do wonder if someone in the school is using rituals to send these gremlins after us, because there's a lot of stuff going wrong... You'd think all these smart teachers of ours would figure it all out quickly, but it seems to be hard to detect and so typically something that takes a lot of work and research, so that's something we can learn from, win-win!
